General Conditions, Diving & Courses

Medical Statement

According to the current BOE, in Spain it is not mandatory to have a medical certificate, as long as a medical self-questionnaire is honestly completed and the result is favorable.

If you answer NO to the 10 questions on the first page of the questionnaire, a medical evaluation is not required. If, on the other hand, you answered YES to the questions with an asterisk, or to any of the questions on page 2, a doctor’s evaluation will be necessary to carry out the dive. In that case it will be necessary to obtain a certificate and the approval of a doctor, before being able to dive.

That is why, when reserving the activity, the client declares to be in an adequate state of health, suitable for diving, either through a medical self-declaration or through a doctor’s certificate. Therefore, no cancellation for medical reasons will be accepted outside the period established in the cancellation policy.

Certification & Insurance
As a certified diver in Spain you have to be able to show your certification. We can’t take anybody to the water who can’t show his valid international diving certification. As a registered PADI 5 Star Dive center we can look up online any PADI student. Divers from other agencies need to bring their certification card or show a valid e-mail.
Also it is mandatory for all certified divers on all levels to posses their own personal diving insurance, no diving without insurance. If you already have a diving insurance bring it with you as we will need to check the policy number and expiration date. If your general travel insurance includes diving, we also need the policy number and need a proof that the insurance covers diving accidents abroad.
If you don’t have an insurance, no problem. We can contract it in our dive center on the day of the activity in 5 minutes. You can even do it online on our website here.

Broken or lost material
If you rent scuba, snorkel or any other kind of equipment from the dive center or if you enroll in a course where we borrow you said material you are fully responsible for the material while you are using it. Broken or lost equipment has to be replaced or paid for. The dive center reserves the right to analyze the damage and determine the amount you need to pay for the repair or replacement.

eLearning
When you enroll in any diving cours with online theory (PADI eLearning), you must come with all the theory done before starting the course on the first day in the dive center. Without the theory completed, we cannot begin the course and we reserve the right to change starting day of the course.

Duration of courses
The duration we advertise on the courses are minimum/standard durations. In most cases the diving courses are finished in this time period, however students have to meet performance requirements to get certified. There is no right to get certified after the minimum/standard duration of the course. The student gets certified once he or she complies with all performance requirements PADI sets for this course.
