Frequently Asked Questions about T.E.A.M. Diving
What previous experience do I need for the T.E.A.M. Diver course?
You’ll need to be at least a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent). You should also be comfortable using a long-hose configuration and a backplate setup.
In this course, we focus on team diving, awareness, and communication — so it’s important that your equipment handling feels second nature.
If you’re not yet familiar with the long hose or backplate, no worries! We can arrange a equipment orientation or practice session before the course so you’ll be fully ready to dive as part of the team.
Do I need to be a TEC diver to take this course?
Short answer: No!
This course is a great complement to TEC or Sidemount training, but it’s not required to be — or plan to become — a Tec diver.
We firmly believe that the principles of good diving, teamwork, and communication apply to every type of diving — recreational or technical. The skills you’ll learn here will make you a better, safer, and more aware diver in any environment.
How long does the T.E.A.M. diving course takes?
Usually, it’s completed in one day, depending on conditions and student pace.
Do I get a certification card at the end of this course?
Absolutely! Even though this is our own Distinctive Specialty, the T.E.A.M. Diver course is a fully recognized PADI certification. Once you successfully complete the course, you’ll receive your official eCard in the PADI app — or a physical certification card if you prefer the classic version.
