Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? What is the Rescue Diver course?
The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to improve your skills as a diver by teaching you how to prevent and manage underwater emergencies. You’ll learn advanced techniques to assist other divers and yourself in stressful or dangerous situations, from solving minor problems to managing more complex rescues. This course includes simulated scenarios that will prepare you to react effectively and confidently in real situations.
What are the requirements to enrol in this course?
In order to participate in the Rescue Diver course, you must:
Hold the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent).
Have completed a first aid course with CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) within the last 24 months. If you don’t have it, you can combine the course with the PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) programme.
Be at least 12 years old (for Junior Rescue Diver) or 15 years old for the standard certification.
