FIRST STEP TO INSTRUCTOR
PADI PRO Assistant Instructor
DESCRIPTION
If you are passionate about diving and want to dedicate yourself to it, you may be interested in becoming a diving instructor, which will allow you to train beginner and more advanced divers. The first step to becoming an instructor is to complete the PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) course.
The PADI Assistant Instructor allows you to give theoretical classes and evaluate the Open Water Diver surface exercises with the supervision of an instructor, as well as take some specialty courses. This course is a very good preparation for taking the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program.
PADI Divemasters who are at least 18 years old may enroll in the PADI AI course. You also need to have:
- Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.
- A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
- At least 60 logged dives to begin the course, showing your experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation
