Frequently asked questions about the Open Water Diver course on Tenerife
How long does it take to complete the PADI Open Water Diver course?
We offer the course over two and a half days, with two scheduling options available every week:
Option 1
- Start on Friday at 18:00 with a theory session
- Saturday and Sunday: full days of diving and training from 09:00 to 17:00
Option 2
- Start on Wednesday at 09:00
- Wednesday and Thursday: full days from 09:00 to 17:00
- Friday: one additional training dive at 15:00
Is it possible to continue with other dive courses after completing the Open Water Diver?
Yes, once you earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification, you can advance to more advanced courses, such as the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or specialties like night diving.
What does the PADI Open Water Diver course include?
The course includes theory sessions, confined water training and four open water dives, plus all the necessary equipment and teaching materials. There is no additional cost.
Do I need to have previous diving experience to take this course?
No, the PADI Open Water Diver course is designed for beginners. You’ll learn everything you need to know from the ground up, both in theory and in practice.
Where do the open water dives take place?
The dives take place at our home base in Radazul, one of the best dive sites in Tenerife – with clear water and a rich underwater world that makes the experience both unforgettable and safe.
