Scubanana is a PADI 5-Star Dive Center that operates at the highest standards. Our experienced guides are all certified PADI professionals who know our dive sites like the back of their hand and are fluent in English. We offer top-quality rental gear from our partner Aqualung and plenty of storage and rinsing space for your personal equipment. Our warm showers, chill-out areas, dive shop, as well as nearby restaurants and cafés, ensure you have everything you need to relax after your dive day.
We specialize in groups and are always happy to welcome entire dive clubs! Our guides have first-hand experience with dive trips in the Canary Islands and around the world — they know exactly what’s important for group diving. We’re happy to handle the logistics and organization so you can fully enjoy your time underwater. When it comes to equipment, we’ve thought of everything: we have ample space for your gear and enough rental equipment in case someone forgets their regulator at home. What can you expect?
Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, offers diving enthusiasts a fascinating underwater world with volcanic formations, caves, steep walls, and incredible biodiversity. The pleasantly warm waters of the Atlantic provide amazing visibility and a rich marine fauna, including numerous species of rays, schools of barracudas, sea turtles, angel sharks, nudibranchs, and much more. Every day, we check the weather conditions to find the most exciting dive site to suit your preferences.
Tenerife also has a lot to offer on land. From the culturally rich cities of La Laguna and Santa Cruz to tropical rainforests and impressive mountain landscapes, as well as sleepy local villages and exciting theme parks, there is definitely something for everyone who wants to take a day off from diving. We are always happy to help with recommendations and our very own insider tips to make your vacation complete.

Frequently Asked Questions about Diving Trips in Tenerife
What is the minimum certification level required?
We can create dive packages for Open Water Diver / 1*, but participants should be aware that this greatly limits the choice of dive sites. Tenerife is a volcanic island without a continental shelf, which means many dive sites quickly go deeper than 18 meters. If all divers have at least Advanced Open Water Diver or 2* certification, this allows us a much wider variety of dive sites.
Our recommendation to ensure everyone enjoys the trip: at least AOWD certification and around 30+ dives experience, with the last dive not being years ago 😉
Do we need a medical certificate for diving?
In Spain, it is not strictly required to have a medical fitness certificate as long as you honestly complete a medical self-declaration and answer all questions with “No.” This way, it is possible to go diving without a doctor’s certificate or medical fitness certificate. If you answer “Yes” to any question on the self-declaration, a medical certificate must be provided.

Do we need diving insurance?
In short: Yes.
In Spain, it is mandatory to have valid diving insurance. You can either purchase it yourself or get it from us on site. The daily rate for DAN diving insurance is €9, the weekly rate is €25, and a monthly rate is €40. An international annual insurance costs €58.

Do you offer accommodations for dive groups?
We at Scubanana do not offer accommodations ourselves, but there is a wide range of AirBnB and Booking.com options for apartments and holiday rentals of all sizes in Radazul and the surrounding area.
Nearby towns like Candelaria and the capital Santa Cruz also have a large selection of hotels.

What can we see while diving in Tenerife?
The underwater landscapes around Tenerife are as diverse as they are impressive: majestic volcanic formations, steep slopes, mysterious caves, bizarre basalt structures, and even a fascinating wreck right next to our dive school are waiting to be explored.
The marine life leaves nothing to be desired: encounter colorful reef fish, graceful eagle rays, curious sea turtles, impressive stingrays, elegant angel sharks, fascinating cuttlefish, sepia, and playful schools of barracudas. With some luck, you might also discover colorful nudibranchs and many other sea creatures.
