Diving Insurance for Recreational Diving and Freediving
We are often asked: Is it mandatory to have diving insurance? The answer to this is YES! – Not only because we think it’s best, but also because it is required by Spanish law. Every certified diver must have valid diving insurance. You can read more about this on our Blog.
But don’t worry — we’ve got your back!
We cooperate with DAN (Divers Alert Network), the world’s most recognized organization for diving safety, and have the right offer for you, whether you plan to dive regularly or just for a day, if you are a TEC diver or if it’s your first dive after your PADI Open Water Diver Course. Any DAN Insurance covers you world-wide and can be fitted to your needs.
First, we need to see if you are a recreational or TEC Diver. For Recreational Diving and Freediving you can get your insurance directly in our dive center. It covers recreational diving within depth limits imposed by local laws & regulations as well as Nitrox Diving and Freediving. The best offer for you differs depending on how regularly you intend to dive.

Frequently asked questions about Diving Insurance
What is diving insurance?
Diving insurance is specialized coverage that protects divers in case of a diving related emergency. It typically includes emergency medical treatment, hyperbaric chamber costs, evacuation, and sometimes equipment loss or trip interruption.
Why do I need diving insurance?
Standard health or travel insurance may not cover diving-related incidents. Diving insurance ensures you’re protected in the event of a dive accident, which can be costly and may require specialized care.
